Forgotten Island Community Watch Party

Let’s watch Forgotten Island together!

We invite our Filipino and Filipino American community, along with our families, friends, and Hudson Valley neighbors, to a reserved community block screening of DreamWorks Animation’s Forgotten Island in celebration of Filipino American History Month.

Of course, you can watch the movie anytime, but on October 18, we have the chance to experience it together, celebrate Filipino culture and mythology on the big screen, and share what this moment means to us as a community.

Set in the Philippines during the 1990s, Forgotten Island follows best friends Jo and Raissa as they are transported to the mystical island of Nakali, where their memories begin to fade the longer they stay. The animated adventure features the voices of H.E.R., Liza Soberano, Dave Franco, Lea Salonga, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, and more.

This community watch party is an official stop of Dreamweaver Festival, a month-long celebration of Filipino American history, culture, artistry, and living heritage.

Bring your family. Invite your friends. Come celebrate with us and let’s show up for Filipino stories on the big screen!
