We shared a piece of our heart at the 'Philippine Textiles: The Dreamweaver Collective' event hosted by the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) Filipino Student Association and American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC), in partnership with the Philippine Consulate General in New York.

A speaker presenting beside a length of T’nalak hung on a brick wall, with folded textiles on the table

Our founder, Cecille Castillon-Weinstein, hailing from the majestic mountain and lake town of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, unveiled the captivating story of The Dreamweavers, guardians and cultural bearers of the Tboli Indigenous People's ancestral heritage. As the sacred fabric T’nalak unfolded its intricate tales, students were not just spectators but curious souls, weaving dreams with their questions and drawing inspiration from Southern Mindanao's vibrant textiles. Together, we're not just preserving tradition; we're nurturing dreams and fostering connections that span oceans and generations.
